We recently held our team retreat in London and it was great to get the whole team together to reflect on our 7th year and what we have achieved working together to deliver successful projects for our clients. We always have a lot of fun on our team retreats – great food and great locations have become standard. This year, London delivered as a great location and steak night met with team approval!
The focus of the team retreat was around becoming Agile Project Management certified. We had a great course facilitator. And as he used to be a developer himself he could relate to our work and put Agile PM into context for as a development agency.
We chose the Agile PM course as it is aligned with our team-working principles including actively promoting trust and close cooperation within the team and focussing on keeping control over projects without disrupting the project budget, timescale and scope.
Our mission is to help our clients to deliver change more quickly, at a lower cost and with lower risk and the Agile PM course really helped us all to move on even further on this mission.
After two days in the classroom learning and studying, we’re happy to say that everyone passed the exam (phew!). We are now all Agile PM certified! Here’s a photo of us post-exam and, it’s not a team retreat unless we’re in matching hoodies!
Many of the team have been with the company for a number of years. Some from the beginning and others three to four years plus which is fantastic! It is really rewarding to see the team developing and as we grow in number (we’re now a team of 15!) a few team members are progressing into management roles and training new members of the team on Moove’s quality standards and the Moove way of delivering projects that are so loved by our clients.
We’re looking forward to another year full of interesting projects and working together to deliver great solutions for our clients. Plans for the next team retreat are already in the making!
