If you’re looking for jobs in the charity and not-for-profit sector then CharityJob is the place to find them; it’s bursting at the seams with nearly 5,000 live vacancies. CharityJob wanted a new blog that would ensure they are the ‘go-to’ place for people at all stages of their job search, when they need advice or inspiration.
A brief’s not a brief unless it sets out a few key targets.
So we agreed some measurable KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) at the start of the project.
But our work didn’t end there. CharityJob also wanted to measure job applications through the blog by total clicks on ‘view job’ and to measure content chosen to be Google ‘Best answer’.
An equally important area of the brief was to significantly improve the User Experience, creating a much better structure to the blog and a clear sense of direction for the user. CharityJob wanted their new blog to have a fresh, modern look and feel; and that’s exactly what we delivered!

We worked closely with the CharityJob internal development team to ensure blog visitors are shown related jobs based on their choice of article. We featured job blocks created in XML (Extensible Markup Language) for follow-up marketing activities. We also integrated job feeds into the blog search, to ensure searches are converted into queries on the main CharityJob website.
AMP is the new big thing in mobile. We added an AMP version of the blog content so that the site will get even better Google positions. The fast-loading pages will help the client rank within the carousel spot on mobile SERPs.
We developed a bespoke connection to Salesforce ExactTarget so visitors can subscribe directly from the website to email marketing messages. We sent all leads to a specific campaign, so no lead is ever lost. We also created a custom RSS feed for easy email marketing automation.
We worked with CharityJob's internal development team to setup a reverse proxy for the new blog. We created a seamless user experience transitioning between the .net main site and the brand new WordPress blog.
For the redesign of our website, we needed to bring our brand to life. We wanted an agency that would work with us collaboratively and challenge us to try something new. We needed to produce a stunning, user and mobile friendly blog that gave us the freedom to create content that can really add value to our audience.
Moove Agency have gone above and beyond our expectations.
From the design to the development and integration of our blog to the CharityJob website, they have done everything in their power to accommodate our range of needs and produced a beautiful website that we can be proud of every member of the team has been an absolute pleasure to work with.
